Transplant day is called day zero, so until then, we’re conditioning me and counting down. So an update. We entered the hospital yesterday late in the morning. So far, so good. I’m feeling pretty well. Appetite is good, so I’m encouraged to eat as much as possible. I’ve met a lot of staff. I met this week’s doctor’s who was very nice and next week I’ll meet someone else because the doctors are on two weeks at a time. Met the team. Met about 3 nurses and 2 techs. Met the pharmacist. Met the physical therapist and actually had my first session this morning. It wasn’t that bad, but I’m definitely not in shape and I have some balancing issues. But overall, I like having someone come to make me work out; I’ve never been an exercise person. Mom and I took a walk in the ward’s horseshoe shape yesterday and two walks so far today. I’m trying to be good and work hard. The room is nice and big so we have plenty of space. Last night, they started my chemo conditioning. The two drugs took over 3 hours and then I had to have blood drawn. The nurse had to do blood draws every 3 hours. The blood gets sent off for testing to see if my chemo doses need any modification. Thankfully, the blood only had to be done last night because I think I maybe had 3 hours of sporadic sleep. . Everyone has been very nice and knowledgeable which is great and my new Hickman is hurting less and worked great yesterday. By the different staff I’ve spoken to, if I start to feel anything, it probably won’t happen until next week. I’ll do my best to keep this updated, but I may have “those days.” I have my address here now; it’s

I don’t know exactly how the mail system works, but remember I can’t have flowers – has to do with pollen and bacteria, I think.
Love to everyone!
