Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone who has been praying for Jamie’s “cold”. I know it seems like we do a lot of THANKING around here, but it’s all well deserved as there is much to be thankful for.
We were able to get some of the results back today from the tests Jamie underwent yesterday. So far the results are showing negative for graft vs. host which further strengthen the case that her symptoms are nothing more than a cold. We’re still waiting on the results of the throat culture, but so far the only item of mild concern is that she has a little bit of fluid in her lungs. They gave her some meds to help, but what she really needs to do is her walking and breathing exercises. Due to this cold weather, she can’t venture outside so she’s not walking around as much as she should. It’s totally understandable… how many laps could you do around your home before you got bored?
I’ve been kicking around the idea with Jamie’s mom about getting her a Wii Fit. The idea being it would help her exercise inside while keeping her entertained. It all comes down to whether she would use it or not.
Another piece of news, we have her appointment for the next bone marrow biopsy. They actually wanted to have it done this week, but they were completely booked. Keep in mind they have a team of doctors that do nothing but marrow biopsies all day and they do at least 16 a day. That’s just an INSANE amount! Unless they have a cancellation this week, she’s set to have it done on January 20th. We have faith
That’s all for now. You’re prayer assignment is to keep praying for Jamie to get over this “cold” and be well enough to see the boys and I next weekend. Also, lets start focusing prayer on a clean biopsy: 100% donor immune system and NO CANCER CELLS. You all do that for us, and I’ll keep posting the updates as I receive them.
I’ll leave you with a really cool little story that validates two things: 1. It’s a small world; and 2. There a countless people out there praying for us.
Yesterday as I was picking up Jacob from preschool, I spent a little time speaking with his teacher, who by the way says Jake is doing absolutely awesome in school. As always she asked me how Jamie was doing and said she would continue to pray for her. Here’s the cool part. She said she had asked a fellow teacher to have us added to the prayer list at their church and the teacher responded that someone else had already placed us. WE WERE ALREADY ON IT! How cool is that?
I started the post with a THANK YOU and after that little story it only seems fitting that I close in similar fashion. To all those who actively read this blog and pray for us: THANK YOU. And to those who will never read this, yet are still praying for us…and we know you’re out there, a SUPER BIG THANK YOU!!!
May God bless all our friends and family.

Hey, we have Wii Fit and a balance board that we haven't used in months. I'm sure we could loan it to you for a while if that'll help. I can bring it to work this week.
I will continue to pray for you guys!
Thanks, that's nice of you guys. Let me find out if she would use it and I'll let you know.
Prayer is an awesome thing. God's work is done while we are on our knees!
