We get to leave, but the process is long so I’ll be stuck here most of the day. I’m looking forward to eating food NOT made by a cafeteria. I miss sitting on a couch and sleeping in a real bed. I really miss home, but the apartment will be a step up. Both mom and Andi told me that the place looks really nice inside and out. More comfortable Andi said. They set up a lot yesterday and mom went to the grocery store to stock up. Basically, I’m getting new stuff (bandage change, supplies) and being checked out by everyone (doctor to the nutritionist) before I go.  I do have to come back tomorrow, but I knew I would. In the beginning, I’ll be coming to Moffitt every day then every other then once a week and then possibly home. It all depends on my progress. I have to be watched carefully for the graft vs. host disease and then they have to watch my medications and make sure I’m not having the wrong result/reaction.

Joel and the boys will probably visit the weekend after this one – to give us time to settle, to give me time to recoup, and to give Joel time to take the car in for the long overdue maintenance.

Thank again to everyone. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers more than I can express in the written word.

Wow. I didn’t read the blog for 2 days and so much has changed. I know you are excited to be out of Moffit, eat real food, and more importantly see Joel and the boys. Your determination and faith shows through. Praise God.

Jamie–congratulations on getting out! The apartment sounds like a big improvement–you’re getting closer and closer to returning to your old life.
